Catastrophe Claims Adjuster
Cat claims are typically large numbers of losses occurring due to a single event. As a result, insurance companies must allocate extra resources to handle the large influx of claims.
As an independent adjuster, I have been deployed to areas that have been devastated by a catastrophic event, mostly in Florida. For Zeta, in 2020, as well as for Ida in 2021, I was deployed in Louisiana.
As an Independent Adjuster I’m able to handle the massive number of claims that have been filed as a result of a catastrophe.
I love to travel to the affected areas to assist both the affected people and the insurance companies with these catastrophe claims. Many times I have received dozens of claims to be handled before I even arrived on site.
For hurricane Ida I closed 180 claims in 45 days.
My Cat Experience contains:

I love my job as an Independent Adjuster, helping and meeting people and every day is different and brings on a new set of challenges. Every claim really is unique, they’re all puzzles to be pieced together. Discovering and retelling the loss narrative is a story I wanted to tell. For more than two decades, throughout active and slow hurricane seasons, I’ve stood strong to protect our clients and their homes.
For most of the insureds this process is new. Knowing what they should expect and being able to explain the process to them eases their burden. I have handled many total losses and the grief that these individuals go through is tremendous. This is their time of need and it is an honor to help them through it.
